Help make a difference in your community by becoming more active in supporting your neighborhood branch library through a donation or by volunteering. Support the city-wide effort by sending a tax deductible donation directly to the Friends of the Free Library of Philadelphia. Friends are the umbrella organization that works every day to assist library Friends Groups to achieve their goals which means a better branch in your neighborhood. Library Friends are stewards of our free and equal access to information and ambassadors of life-long learning.

Book Corner accepts your gently used, good conditioned books in all genres:

  • Fiction and non-fiction
  • Adult, childrens, teens
  • Hardcover and paperbacks
  • Vinyl, DVDs, CDs, Tapes

Sorry, we do not accept:

  • Textbooks of any kind, Encyclopedias published after 1940, popular magazines
  • Reader digest or condensed books

Here are three ways for you to Donate to your Branch Library Friends Group:

  • Call 215.567.0527 and make an appointment at least one day before drop off
  • Donations of more than 50 items must be packed in boxes or we cannot accept them
  • Drop Off during operating hours; Monday - Saturday, 10am-6pm.

Thank you for your donation. Your books will be recycled back into the hands of readers.
