Free Library of Philadelphia

The Mission of The Free Library of Philadelphia is to provide to all segments of Philadelphia's diverse population a comprehensive collection of recorded knowledge, ideas, artistic expression, and information in a variety of media, including current technology; to assure ease of access to these materials; and to provide programs to stimulate the awareness and use of these resources. The Free Library will create a welcoming and inspiring environment for learning and will promote individual enlightenment, community enrichment, and economic vitality throughout the region.

Friends of Libraries USA

Friends of Libraries U.S.A. provides resources, services, and networking opportunities for Friends, Trustees, and Foundations across the country to increase and enhance their efforts on behalf of libraries of all types.

Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance

Arts and cultural institutions agree that their long-term goals are more attainable when they work together. Arts and culture are critical strategic assets to the Greater Philadelphia region's economic, educational and social development. Leveraging cooperation among business, community and elected leaders, audiences and the general public is the focus of the Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.

greenfest Philly

Come explore the many ways that Philadelphia is Going Green - or could! This rocking street festival features music, food, art and more than 100 exhibitors. They demo new, exciting solutions for living in an environmentally sensitive and just way. Last year, 6000 people came to the one-block "South Street GreenFest". Starbucks

Our friendly neighborhood Starbucks is a proud sponsor of our Chris' Kids Story Hours. They provide us with drinks and snacks to bring even more enjoyment to this biweekly program. Visit them at the corner of N. 20th and Collowhill Streets.

WHYY

WHYY, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation chartered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate TV12 and 91FM, the public broadcasting stations serving southeastern Pennsylvania, Delaware and South Jersey. Offices and studios are located in Philadelphia and Wilmington. WHYY members will receive a 10% discount on all items bought at Book Corner when they present their member card.

WXPN

WXPN, the nationally recognized leader in Triple A radio and the premier guide for discovering new and significant artists in rock, blues, roots, and folk, is the non-commercial, member-supported radio service of the University of Pennsylvania. WXPN produces World Cafe®, public radio's most popular program of popular music hosted by David Dye and syndicated by NPR, and the Peabody Award winning Kids Corner hosted by Kathy O'Connell. WXPN also produces the alternative rock service, Y-Rock On XPN as its secondary radio channel in HD that is also available online.
